Invisalign® Full or Comprehensive:
Invisalign Full is the original Invisalign system. It is suitable for patients requiring more difficult corrections and can move all the teeth. This is the most commonly recommended form of Invisalign treatment and our preferred aligner to treat most moderate and complex cases.
The patient is provided with a series of plastic aligners to wear. Invisalign aligners are very clear and nearly invisible and that’s why the name “Invis-align”. So much so that people may not be able to notice you are wearing them therefore not affect your lifestyle and day to day interaction with other people.
The aligners must be worn at all times but should be taken out during eating, brushing or flossing teeth. They may be removed for a brief time during special occasions but ideally should not be worn for any less than 22 hours a day.

Unlike traditional braces Invisalign doesn’t have any metal wires or brackets which can cause discomfort in the gums or mouth. Invisalign aligners are custom-made with a smooth, clear material using transparent polycrystalline alumina that was incidentally designed by NASA.
Most people reported Invisalign having no effect on their speech. However, some people may experience a slight lisp at first with having something new in the mouth, but this is something they get used to it very quickly and they start speaking clearly and confidently within a few days.

Patients should clean the aligner daily with a toothbrush and toothpaste and refrain from using hot water to clean it as it can wrap the plastic. While it is possible to smoke wearing the aligners it may stain the plastic and make it uneven over time so we recommend avoiding smoking while wearing the aligner. There are no diet restrictions during the treatment as the aligners are removable but chewing gum must be avoided as it might get stuck on plastic and damage the aligner.
